Something to consider for the NEW YEAR
WHAT IF THERE ISN'T ANYMORE
One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore". No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say "I love you." So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage.....And old cars... And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way.  Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?

Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back.. And just in case I'm gone tomorrow:

I LOVE YA!!!

Letting go of non-essentials

“My spiritual quest is the painful process of learning to let go of things not essential.”

---Bill Welsh
Sometimes days are not filled with what you wish for or what you hope for but come with problems and issues that seem unsolvable.   If you trust in your Lord you know that He will bring for you the essentials of life; what you need, what you have to learn and what you need to grow spiritually.  It seems that if you don’t get what you want you suffer; if you get what you don’t want; you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want you still suffer because you can’t hold on too it forever.
Every day when you wake up, you have been given another gift from your God. Right before you, sent by Him, a whole day to use in the best possible way and He allows you to determine the outcome with your choices.  Sometimes your day will come with sadness, deception or even tears.  But at other times it will come full of surprises, happiness, success and achievements. So if you start each day with trust, love and enthusiasm, it may just be the day your dreams of a wholesome life will come true.  We all have wants needs and desires and I hope that this message brings you some essentials of spiritual growth and enlightenment.
